This is the goal of the CES Innovation Awards, a competition that separates the equipment on display in dozens of categories and invites diverse technophilic professionals to evaluate them, including designers, journalists, entrepreneurs of various industries, researchers, engineers, among others.
This staff is distributed in groups of three jurors, being an independent representative of the industry, a technician and a member of the press. Each evaluator indicates a numerical value for the following criteria:
- Qualities of engineering;
- Aspects of design and aesthetics;
- Functionality and value of use;
- Unique features and attractive features for consumers;
- Elements of product design or innovation that differentiate it from similar ones.
The notes are summed and result in the score of each device. In addition, based on the cumulative scores for each category, a “cut line” is created. All products that receive values greater than this parameter receive the honored participant award.
